WINTER CITY PAPER CONSTRUCTION
Kindergarten and 1st-grade students geared up for the holidays by making a winter town paper construction project!

The finished project makes a panoramic folded card that can be displayed on its own or given to someone as a gift.

Students started the project by looking at real photographs of towns and buildings to become familiar with their construction and designs.

Students learned how to create 3D effects by folding paper. This project was a great exercise in helping the younger students work on their motor skills. After students assembled their paper buildings, they began painting on the surface to add snow.

Students were also able to draw on the inside of the card using a white crayon. They could draw a winter scene or write a note to someone they would like the give the project to.
