1-Point Perspective
4th-grade students began their 1-point perspective project by analyzing various artworks that use 1-point perspective. At first, the students could not believe that all the lines pointed towards a single vanish point!

Students took turns coming up to the front of the class and drew lines onto a projected image, revealing the hidden vanishing point.

After viewing more examples art works and explaining rules of perspective, students used a practice worksheet to experiment creating a 3D space with a vanishing point.

When ready, students started their final artwork, working with pencil first, then marker, and finally watercolor paint.

It was amazing how each student was given the same format and instructions but made their 1-point perspective drawings so unique and individualized!
